Who are the cast and crew of season 2?

It wouldn’t be ‘Picard’ without the man himself, so we know Sir Patrick Stewart will be back in the big role. We also expect that the show’s co-stars – Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Isa Briones, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway and Evan Evagora – will return.

Jeri Ryan guest-starred in season 1 and has been confirmed to return next year.

There was also a very public announcement made by Stewart himself, who joined the American talk show The View to personally invite Whoopi Goldberg to reprise her role as TNG Guinan in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

What will the plot be?

The latest trailer reveals that Q (John de Lancie) has traveled through time and tampered with the past to create an alternate evil reality for our heroes. To change it, Picard must also time travel back to the 21st century, with the help of Queen Borg.

We’ll explore the broken timeline and how that changed things for both the crew and the galaxy at large. There are hints that Soji and Dahj may have had completely different fates in this timeline, and the Federation’s disintegration.

The final shots of the trailer show Seven waking up and she’s noticeably missing the Borg implant on her face. This means that in this timeline, she is never assimilated to become a Borg drone. Seven’s real name before becoming a drone is Annika Hansen – that’s what she might be known for in this new broken timeline.

Den of Geek points out that the plot is like a sequel to Encounter at Farpoint, the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation that aired in 1987. Picard and the team must deal with 21st-century horrors. , and can re-evaluate and change history for the better.

Michael Chabon has stated in an interview with Variety that the sequel will focus more on the characters’ personal identities, such as their families, etc.

In an interview with Gold Derby, Patrick Steward confirmed that the show will explore new destinations in the Star Trek universe. There will also be a focus on Picard and Q’s relationship after he reappears, which is said to happen during a traumatic moment.
