There are two ways to clear browsing history on an iPad running iOS 7 – one through the Safari web browser itself, and the other by using the Settings app. Both are very simple. Here we explain how to clear browsing history on iPad.
Clear browsing history on iPad, using Safari
Open Safari by clicking the Safari icon in the lower-left corner of your iPad’s screen.
Now, click on the bookmarks icon, found at the top of your browser window, just to the right of the address bar. It looks like, well, a book.
Select the ‘History’ option. You should now see a list of all the pages you’ve visited, along with the date and date that you visited that site.
At the bottom of the light you will see a ‘Delete’ option. Hit this.
You will now be given two options ‘Clear history’ or ‘Cancel’. To clear your browsing history, simply tap ‘Clear History’. And that’s it. (See also: Which iPhone, iPad, and iPod can run iOS 7? Will my iPad, iPhone, or iPod run iOS 7?)
Clear browsing history on iPad, using Settings
Open the Settings icon on your home screen.
Scroll down the left hand side until you find the section for Safari. Click it.
You’ll see an option to Clear history, just above Clear cookies and data. Choose it.
You will be asked to confirm your selection. Agree to this and your browsing history will be gone forever.
