How to Copy iPhone Contacts to a PC

Today, iPhones and iPads work independently, not requiring a PC or iTunes to perform tasks like updating the operating system (remember those days?) and managing content. They can automatically back up to iCloud, and you can buy apps, games, music, movies, books, and more on the iDevice itself.

However, if you need to copy all your contacts from iPhone to PC, there are several options. We’ll explain the simplest of them, which doesn’t involve installing any software and won’t cost any money: iCloud.

In fact, it’s a similar process to transfer photos from your iPhone to your PC.

Of course, you maybe use iTunes or any third-party application that can copy content from your iPhone to your PC.

How do I turn on iCloud?

You’ll need to activate iCloud on your iPhone first, or just double-check that your contacts are synced to iCloud.

To do this, open the Settings app and tap your name right at the top. If you’re running an earlier version of iOS, you’ll have to scroll down or search for the settings for iCloud.

It’s worth noting that you don’t need to enable iCloud backup to sync contacts.

Next, open a web browser on your PC. Go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID. You may be prompted to enter a verification code (which you will receive from your iPhone) if two-factor authentication is enabled on your account.

If Gmail, contacts are a bit hard to find on the web version. You need to click the nine-dot icon in the top right to bring up Google Apps, then click Contacts. The website will open in a new tab and you will then need to expand the ‘More’ section to find the Import option.
